Elmo Birthday Party at Borders...

Last Saturday Adam, Mimi Kathy and I took Kennedy to the ELMO birthday party at Borders. For all of you who know Kennedy you know that she has a slight obsession with ELMO and pretty much all Sesame Street characters...so as you can imagine she was in heaven at this party and could not sit still. We called her Elmo's SUPERFAN of the party! She even won a ELMO book in the drawing at the end!

Our little artist...

First off as the mother of this crazy little 2 year old I would like to take full responsibility for this...as I was plugging in my vacuum to clean the stairs I noticed a sharpie PERMANENT marker behind the couch, so I picked it up and put it on the banister (HUGE MISTAKE) thinking that I would put it away once I was done with the cleaning.....and then this happened 5 minutes later as I walked up the stairs....

YES, this is my couch!

I frantically went and "googled" stain removing techniques...found out that hairspray works wonders on removing BLACK PERMANENT MARKER on microfiber!

After hours of scrubbing (thanks so much Laura for your help) we were able to remove all of the marker. I think the funniest part of all of this is that when Adam saw the picture of the marker stains all he said was "look, I think she was trying to draw a fish". Don't think he would have had that reaction if we would have to buy a new couch!

Wild Child

Kennedy is having hair issues right now as we are in the process of growing bangs out. She reminded me of an 80's rocker in this picture (of course you know her dad thinks this is so cool)

Waiting...

Here we are at week 35, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Mr. Tate. I have been so busy trying to get everything done (hence why we have not been blogging), and I think we are there! Here are some shots of the little guys room. It was so much fun doing a boy theme this time!
