Bubba Bruiser = 9 months old

We can hardly believe that our little baby is now 9 months old.
We go to the dr. on Thursday so it will be interesting to see how big he is.
Here are some of the things he is up to now.

Crawling (more like army crawling...he heads straight for the beads on the xmas tree)
Eating solid foods (favorites are goldfish crackers, yogurt melts, any kind of meat, cheese, cheerios)
Lots of babbling (mama, dada)
8 teeth (yes you did read that right)

And best of all he is such a mama's boy...and I am loving every minute of it!!

Fun with cousins...

We went to Kansas City again this year for Thanksgiving and we had bought matching pj's for all the cousins to wear. Tate was under the weather so he was in bed at this point and missed out on the pictures.

Here are some pictures taken before church this past Sunday. This little girl is growing so fast and doing so many "big girl" things. It is amazing how quickly they grow!

When Mommy's Away...

Last night I left the house for a couple of hours leaving daddy in charge...this is what I came home to...Adam had done her hair in multiple pigtails and barrettes and they both had ponytail holders on their ears pretending they were earings. He even had taken this wonderful photo session. She was wired and loving every minute of it!

I love moments like these!!!

Halloween Part I

We went to the Uptown Normal Trick-or-Treating tonight as a trial run for the big night tomorrow.
We went with our neighbors and Kennedys BFF Braylyn...it was fun but very chilly! Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Took a few weeks ago...this little man is growing so fast. he is such a happy little thing!

Oh how fast 5 years has come and gone...

This past weekend (Oct. 23rd) Adam and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary (a total of 12 years together) by taking a long weekend and heading to Wisconsin Dells, for all you sinics who couldnt understand why we would want to go to a place infested with thousands of kids...we found an amazing resort (Rhapsody Resort & Spa on Lake Delton) that was right on the water and lots to do without kids!! We had such a wonderful time just having one-on-one time with eachother and remembering how things "used to be" before the world with kids...I feel so lucky to be married to someone I can truly call my best friend and whom I have so much in common with. We had a blast and I would recommend getting away like this more often, it definitley "re-charged" my mommy batteries...as I was so ready to see my kiddos after 2 days away, thanks so much to mimi "kaffy" for taking such good care of them while we were away!!

Fall Fun

Despite the bad fall weather this year we have had so many fun days out at the Rader Pumpkin Patch...we tried to go at least once a week since they opened and are really going to miss it! I can't wait till next fall when Tate will be old enough to get out of the stroller and play!!

I'm back...at least for today!

So I know I am so terrible at updating my blog...! So I finally made it my priority for the day and here it goes...

Tate will be 7 months next week and is growing like a weed. The three things I hear most about him are:

1. he looks JUST LIKE adam

2. He has the best hair or did I just get his haircut

3. does he ever stop smiling?

He is such a great baby and I love having a little boy around the house! We started with baby food around 4 months and now he is getting that usually 3 times a day and pretty much likes it all. He gets really aggravated when we are eating and you can tell he wants to start eating off of our plates...he loves watching Praise Baby and playing in his exercauser as well as rolling all over the floor. He has his 2 bottom teeth (4months) and front 2 teeth just popped through this week (those 2 were little stinkers...lots of fussiness last week).

And then there is Kennedy...she is a little ball of fire! At 2 1/2 the conversations we have with her are so fun and each day brings a new adventure. She is currently obssesed with Dora and Diego. The other day Adam and I heard her on the monitor speaking Spanish in her bed (and they say TV is no good!!) She loves to sing, play her guitar (ar-tar) and xylephone as well as her keyboard. She always seems to do this at the most inopputune times! We are still working on the #2 aspect of potty training..this seems to be a huge obstacle for her and I am not so sure I will be sending her to Kindergarten with a pull-up! I have tried rewards, parties, gifts, m&ms, stickers...and nothing. Guess I will just have to keep praying and leave that one up to God, cause it is beyond me!!

Hopefully that gives you a little insight about what has been going on in our house! I will try to make a better effort of posting once a week so I dont get hate mail and phone calls!!
